Description

The Pelham Fire Department operates 3 Engines, 1 Tanker, 3 Ambulances, 2 Brush units, and 2 Command Vehicles from a centrally located station.  Your fire department has 24 hours and 7 days a week coverage.  There are 4 shifts which consist of 1 Lieutenant and 4 Firefighters/AEMT's or Paramedics.  Each shift also has a Paramedic among those 5 members, a Paramedic can use more advanced life-saving techniques than that of the AEMT which may mean the difference between life and death.

If there is more than one emergency happening at once the call department is vital to ensure the safety of the citizens of the town of Pelham.  The call department as well has 1 AEMT, 1 EMT.  All other personnel have received some formal training in First Aid, and are available to help out on ambulance calls. The ambulance service is an emergency-only service and will transport to various local hospitals within New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
