Recreation

Below is the Catalog of Recreation Programs.  Please click on the title to the left to view the program and updates.  Programs are subject to cancellation with insufficient registrations. 

Art Classes, Youth

1 hr weeknight for 6 wks, held at First Congregational church classroom through school year, open to ages 6 - 12.
Babysitting Training ClassClass will be offered several times a year by a certified instructor; open to age 11-17, generally on a Saturday.

Basketball, Blacktop   

Played one night per week in mid to late June for 6-8 wks; outdoor courts in Lyons Park.  Registration opens in early May.

Basketball, Adult Coed Pick Up

Pick up games each Tuesday night at PES gym; adults 18 and over, out of school.

Basketball, Youth  

Winter Program offers basketball for boys and girls ages 7-15.  Games on Saturdays at both PES and Memorial gyms.  Registration begins in October.

Basketball, Li'l Dribblers

Winter program offer basketball skills development for boys and girls ages 4-6.  Look for registration to open in October.

Camp, Summer   

Registration opens in April.  Camps at PVMP for ages 6-13/14.  Six-week program in July/August.  M-F 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.   

Camp, Summer Tot

Camp at Raymond Park for ages 3-5 on Tues/Thurs 10 am to 2 pm for 6 wks in July/August.  Sign ups start in April.  Space limited.
Coloring, Holiday ContestKids ages 10 and under can use their artistic expression to win prizes.  Offered at varied holidays (Easter, Halloween, Christmas, etc.)

Disc Golf

Open to the public at the rear of George Muldoon Park, 27 Muldoon Parkway off Mammoth Road.  Free 18-Hole disc golf course.

Golf, Adult

Once a week 1-hr lessons offered at Windham Country Club in May, June and Sept..  Pre-registration required.  Limited space.

Golf, Youth

Once a week 1-hr lessons offered for ages 7 and up in May and June at Windham Country Club.  No clubs needed.
Guitar LessonsProgram offers multiple sessions throughout the school year at Hobbs Community Center.

C-I-T Program

Teen volunteers for summer camp programs to assist counselors; must be age 14 by July 1st.  Applications are due in May.  

Karate, Introductory lessons

Program is open to boys and girls ages 4-7; sessions throughout the school year at Family Martial Arts.  Register in advance.  Space limited.

Lacrosse, Outlaws and Lady Outlaws

Outlaws Lacrosse is a spring sport.  Lacrosse is offered to boys and girls ages 7-15.  Look for registration to open in late Jan./early Feb.

Lacrosse, Clinic

Not offered at this time.   

Pottery, Intro for kidsProgram is offered to kids ages 6-13; 4 week sessions run throughout the school year.
Pottery, SeniorsOnce monthly pottery painting class for ages 50+ at Hobbs Center with Time to Clay instructor.
Santa LettersFill out the simple form for your child to receive a personalized letter and gift from Santa Claus.  Program is FREE.  Info on website in October.

Ski/SB After School program

Program is open to middle and high school students.  Look for registration to open each October.  5 Thursday trips to Pats Peak.

Soccer, British

One-week instructional soccer camp typically the last week of June at Muldoon Park for ages 3-16.

Soccer, Indoor 

Saturday mornings in March/April at PES gym for ages 3-6.  Register in January.

Soccer, Tot

Program runs in the spring and fall.  Open to boys and girls ages 3-4.  Played on the Village Green.  Coaches always needed.
Soccer, World CupThis is a Fall program open to boys and girls ages 5-9.  Look for registration to open mid July each year.  Season starts in September.

Softball, Girls

Spring program is offered to girls ages 4-14 years old.  Look for registration to open each January.  Clinics generally included.

Softball, Mens Spring

Spring league with weeknight games at Newcomb Field.  Teams must be minimum of 12 players.  Registrations are in February/March.

Softball, Mens Fall  

League starts in Sept. at Newcomb Field with games on M/T/W/Th weeknights for 8 weeks.

Softball, Coed Fall  

Games on Sunday morning at Newcomb Field.  NH USSSA rules.  Register a team in July/Aug.  Program begins in September.

Theater -Children's  

Artistic Directors Jeri Lee Hammond and Chrysta Sierra-Wong hold classes for children ages 6 through 12 leading to final performances in Sherburne Hall.  Sign-ups vary through the year.
Theatre - TeenTheatre program for teens ages 13 and up.  Program takes place in Sherburne Hall.  Sign-ups vary throughout the year.
Theatre - AdultWhy let the kids have all the fun.  Pelham Actors Guild runs productions throughout the year for ages 18 to108.  No experience is necessary.

Tennis - Adult and Teen

Lessons for ages 13 and up evenings June-July at the tennis courts across from PHS.  Space is limited.

Tennis - Youth

1-hour lessons offered to ages 5-12, mornings in June/July at courts across from PHS.  Limited openings.
Total Body Strength and Sculpt Fitness ClassFitness Classes open to ages 16 and up. Classes are held at the Hobbs Center and run throughout the year in sessions.
Track and FieldSummer Program is offered to boys and girls ages 5-12 at Harris Track.  Looking for coach for 2022 forward.

Volleyball - Adult Coed

Weekly pickup games at PES gym throughout school year for ages 18 and up evenings.  Register any time.  Supervisor needed.

Volleyball - Women's

Program is open to women ages 18 and up.  Program runs throughout the school year at PES gym,  Monday evenings.

Wrestling, Youth

Open to boys/girls grades K-8 to start in mid-November at Memorial cafe, followed by scheduled tournaments.  

Yoga, Adult

Sessions at the Hobbs Center room, open to adults ages 18 and up evenings throughout school year.  Bring floor mat and water bottle.

Yoga, Kids

6-week class is offered to boys and girls ages 7-11, 1 hr/1 day/wk.  Classes run throughout the school year.
Yoga, Gentle6-week class is offered to ages 16+ Sat mornings at Hobbs Center.   Slower pace to learn basics of yoga practices safely.

 

EVENTS
Easter Egg FestivalAnnual event takes place on the Village Green generally the weekend before Easter.

Haunted Woods

Haunted Woods community event at Pelham Veterans Memorial Park in October.  On pause.
Daddy Daughter DanceAnnual Event takes place in spring or fall each year at area venue.  Ages 6 and up.
Build a Scarecrow ContestEvent takes place in the fall at participant locations; photos to be submitted.

Summer Concerts

At the Village Green on alternate Wednesdays 6-8 pm in June/July/Aug hosted by Pelham Community Spirit Group.

 

INDEPENDENT PROGRAMS
New Hampshire Flag Football LeagueLeague offers flag football for boys and girls ages 5-17 with a spring, fall and winter league. Visit that site to register, NHFFL.com .

Pelham Baseball

Open to boys/girls, ages 5 and up.  Games played at George Muldoon Park in April-June.  Link to their website on ours.

Soccer, Pelham Travel Soccer Club
