Conservation Chairman Bob= Yarmo brought the meeting to order at 7:32 p.m.

 

Chairman Yarmo made refer= ence to Map 33, Lot 1-159 and announc= ed that it was unfortunate but the Conservation Commission could not hear the = case posted on the agenda for this evening due to “an agreement” that had been attached to the purchase and sales agreement that had not been resolved between the Board of Selectmen and the seller.  This is a 110-acre parcel that is = being considered with a purchase price of one million dollars.  On advice from attorneys it was recommended that no public input be allowed due to this unresolved issue.  Chairman Yarmo apologized to the p= ublic and urged them to keep an eye on the newspaper or call the town planning fo= r a date of a future public hearing.

Chairman Yarmo introduced= and welcomed the Conservation’s newest member Jay Stearns.

 

A site walk for the Comeau property is planned for Wednesday, October 26, at 4:30 p.m.  Paul Gagnon will coordinate this w= ith Team Design and Mark West.  The Planning Board has stated that they will not be doing a site walk.  Our comments need to be submitted = for the Planning Board’s next meeting on November 7.

 

There was discussion abou= t the need for handbooks for Conservation Commission members.  The secretary was instructed to or= der seven handbooks through the NH Association of Conservation Commissions at a cost of $17.00 each.
