ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT SITE WALK

August 18, 2012

Attendance: ZBA- Mr. David Hennessy,  Mr. Peter McNamara,  Mr. Kevin O’Sullivan  Conservation Committee - Ms. Glenny Edwards Town of Pelham - Mr. Jeff Gowan Representing the Applicant - Mr. Joseph Maynard , Ms. Adrian Keane Attendees to public meeting- Mr. Bruce MacDougal, Mr. Mike Sherman

The meeting was called to order at 9:06 a.m. in the front yard of the property @ 63 Shore Drive. There was discussion of the planned dimensions of the proposed construction. Questions were asked about the height of the modifications, and if the new construction would expand beyond the existing footprint. There was also discussion of the need to either prune back or remove any trees – all of these are to be re-addressed in the next ZBA meeting scheduled for September 10, 2012

Mr. Macdougal made a point of expressing his support for the proposed modifications to the home.

The meeting was called to order at 9:38 a.m. on the property in Windham – a brief review was provided by Mr. Maynard and discussion ensued regarding Windham’s role in the future properties (if created) and what could be the timing of same.

The meeting moved to the site of the dam, which was approximately 150 into the wooded area – further discussion revolved around the design of any new dam structure, and who would control the flow of water should there ever be a need to do so. The group had an opportunity to view the remnants of the original dam, and was informed of its history. Ms. Mackay asked about maintenance and whether it was required (and how frequently), the response was that maintenance at this time was very infrequent. 

Following a few moments of touring the site the meeting was adjourned at 10:03 a.m.
