JOB OPENING: Adult Softball (Men’s and Women’s) Game Scorekeepers

This position is open for scorers at games both the men’s and women’s softball leagues at Newcomb Field off Windham Road in Pelham to keep score of all the games. Applicants must be 18 yrs or older. You must be able to keep track with the games as the scoring can be fast paced; good focus and concentration is needed. Applicants must be available to work any weeknight evening and/or Sunday nights from approximately 5 pm to 9 or 10 pm. Knowledge of slow pitch softball is very helpful in keeping the scorebook. Scorers are required to send in the standings (via email) to our office immediately after each evening when games are covered. Pay is $8.00/hour. JOB OPENING: Town Beach Lifeguard

This is a seasonal job at Pelham Veterans Memorial Park for the summer camp program and town beach patrons, including work schedules for weekdays and weekends as determined by the waterfront director. It will involve eight to ten weeks beginning on or about June 22, 2013 at an hourly rate of $10. This person is responsible for the public safety of all patrons and campers by enforcing beach rules as listed in the handout for town beach. Lifeguards are also responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of beach area and must work with camp counselors on scheduling. A responsible manner is expected at all times in this position. Lifeguards work under the supervision of the P&R and a waterfront director.

JOB OPENING: YOUTH BASKETBALL REFEREE

For 2013 Blacktop Summer League

We are looking for teen referees for our youth blacktop league basketball games at Dennis Lyons Memorial Park outdoor basketball courts for Monday and Wednesday evenings starting June 24, 2013 for six weeks. You must be at least 14 yrs. of age by June lst. The rate of pay is $8.00/hour. Experience is helpful and general knowledge of the sport is needed. You will work with our supervisor, Dave Parola, for instruction and scheduling as well as the P&R director.
