ihoops basketball skills challenge

  Program is free for boys and girls ages 9-14.  Participants will have the chance to showcase their basketball skills for a chance at a free trip to Orlando FL to compete in the national finals in May 2010.

We have 1st-2nd-3rd place ribbons for our Pelham winners.  ribbons can be picked up at the Parks and Rec Office.

Our 1st place winners will have their time compared to the other local competition champions in the Boston Celtics market with the top (3) finishers in each age and gender moving on to the Regional competition.  We should know by March 10th or so if any of our kids will be advancing.

** Players are required to wear sneakers and shin guards.

Games will be played 5 consecutive Saturdays, March 6th thru April 3rd, 2010.  Games will be played at the Memorial and Elementary Schools.  There are no practices.

Adult Computer Classes

Parks and Rec has teamed up with Chad Nale to offer Adult computer classes. He will be covering some of the Microsoft Office applications.

There will be six weeks of one-hour classes at the PES PC classroom on Tuesday evenings starting April 20th, 2010 (skip 4/27) and ending June 1st.  Class will be from 6:30-7:30pm. The first three weeks will review WORD and the next three will offer and introduction to PowerPoint. The program will be using Microsoft Office 2003. Space is limited so sign up now; first come, first served. Open to adults at a cost of $55

Movement and Music Tot classes

Come create precious memories with your child, meet other families, and introduce your child to the world of movement and music through fun and imagination.

Class is offered to boys and girls ages 2-4

(4) Monday mornings 11-11:45AM at Pelham Library beginning April12th (skip 4/26) ending May 10th in the upstairs children's section.

INTRO TO KARATE session V

* Program will be held at Family Martial Arts located at 122 Bridge Street, Pelham

Introductory Classes - Session 4

Instructor:  Janet Daigle  Director of Pelham Community Theatre

All classes will be held at V.F.W. Hall (old town hall on Main Street)

Theatre

The course is designed to help develop your talents in theatre arts and includes stage direction, articulation, projection, stage presence, and memorization.  Build confidence and self-esteem with public speaking.

* Ages 6 and up  3:30 - 5:00PM

(6) Tuesdays March 23rd - April 27th

Cost $95 / child

Art

The course includes supplies and explores a new medium every week using charcoal, watercolor, pastels, pen, inks, acrylics, oils, sculpting and more !

* Ages 9 and up  6:00-7:30PM

Adult Volleyball

Co-ed Adult Volleyball

Program is open to men and women ages 18 and up.  There is no cost to play.  Pick-up games are every Wednesday evening at Pelham Elementary School Gym starting at 7PM (subject to change during basketball season).  Our supervisor is Jeff Jameson.  Waiver form must be signed to participate.  Print form below or register online using webtrac.  Games begin Oct 7th and end typically in June.  Program is subject to school needs and cancellations for closures, holidays or inclement weather.

Women's Volleyball
