ROUNDABOUT
PROJECT UPDATE
5/28/2013
-
Waterline work is currently underway in the vicinity of the
Congregational Church.
-
The old fire station is completely demolished and all demo
debris has been removed.
-
Water line tie-in is planned for Friday night (5/31).
Continental will notify impacted residents of procedure to
flush their water lines. The tie-in is scheduled for evening
hours to minimize service interruptions.
-
Next week (Week of June 3rd), Continental will do fine
grading in preparation for base and binder coats of asphalt
along Marsh Road and Town roundabout.
-
Following week (week of June 10) base and binder paving
along Marsh and Town roundabout, with some curbing and
sidewalk installation (tentative).
-
The balance of Acorn binder paving on hold until Continental
can get it scheduled (week of June 3rd hoped
for). Some utility conduit exists on Acorn at Woodbury that
must be removed but is dependent on Fairpoint splicing their
relocated aerial lines and pulling new line through new
conduit.
-
Old Bridge Street and Blacksmith Road name changes would be
ideally be resolved by end of June. NHDOT, may prefer to
utilize temporary signage (pre-name change) over the winter
until project is fully completed. I have informed NHDOT that
we will need to coordinate the new road name activation date
with corresponding signage placement as part of the BOS
public hearing process.
-
Continental will continue working until end of July or early
August before they no longer proceed without Fairpoint’s
utility work being completed. There is no indication these
issues will be resolved in time to avoid that outcome. In
this scenario, Continental will likely not return until the
spring of 2014 , assuming Fairpoint can finally get their
work coordinated and completed between August and the spring
of 2014.
