The
amendments to the minutes were as follows: page 2, 1st paragraph,
3rd line – the words ‘was left would be to’ were replaced with
‘indicated they would’ in the following ‘…conversation indicated they would come…’;
2nd paragraph – the sentence reading ‘Mr. Domenico said when the
sub-committee convened they reviewed the items highest on the list’ was amended
to read ‘Mr. Domenico said when the sub-committee convened they reviewed the
items that were highest on the list as articulated at the previous joint
meeting.’
OPEN FORUM
Ms.
Linda Mahoney thanked Mr. Gleason and Highway Road Agent Don Foss for taking
care of a safety concern regarding a sink hole on the trail at
BUDGET
REVIEW:
Mr. Lynde arrived.
Cable
Television (PTV)- Mr. Jim Greenwood
presented the 2007 Cable Television budget to the Selectmen.
Town Buildings- in Mr. Gaydos’ absence, Ms. Janet Gallant, Town Financial Supervisor presented the 2007 Town Buildings budget. The budget represented an increase of $95,885 (approximately 25% from last year).
Selectmen – in Mr. Gaydos’ absence, Ms. Janet Gallant, Town Financial Supervisor presented the 2007 Selectmen budget.
Human Services – in Mr. Gaydos’ absence, Ms. Janet Gallant, Town Financial Supervisor presented the 2007 Human Services budget.
The Selectmen concluded their budget
review. Mr. Danevich asked Ms.
Gallant to update the Selectmen’s books with final notes and back up
packages. The Selectmen will begin
to vote on the budgets at the next meeting. Mr. Gleason said the budget had to be
forwarded to the Budget Committee by
SELECTMEN REPORTS
Mr. Domenico deferred comment based on the fact that a memo had been submitted to the Selectmen by the Joint Committee that was ratified and voted on (the previous evening). The memo contained the recommendations and findings of the group. The Selectmen were asked to review the information and discuss at the next meeting.
Mr. Bergeron and Mr. Gleason had no reports.
Mr. Lynde suggested with regard to the Forest Management
Plan, that the timber tax be waived for Nature’s Way, Gumpas Pond Conservation
Area and
Mr. Danevich said the next Selectmen’s meeting would be held at Sherburne Hall. He said the land use boards should also resume holding their public meetings at Sherburne Hall. Mr. Danevich then informed that the Selectmen were aware of two topics recently in the news; with the Board having already been briefed. He said as information becomes available, it would be made public. He then informed that the Town had lost a court case with the New Hampshire Supreme Court (the investigation had begun in 2001).
