New Hampshire Fish and Game Correspondence – Signature for grant application OHRV Enforcement

Mr. Gleason stated a motion was made by Mr. Viger and seconded by Mr. McDevitt to authorize the Town Administrator Tom Gaydos to sign the OHRV Enforcement Grant with the New Hampshire Department of Fish and Game; the v= ote was unanimous.

Mr. Viger reiterated the motion; Mr. McDevitt seconded the motion.

OPEN FORUM

Mr. Paul McDonough came forward and discussed the fire station. He suggested having a list of item= s that a fire department requires and compare that to what the Fire Department was asking for. He didn’t h= ave an answer to explain to people how important it was to have an operable station. He believed the Sele= ctmen were doing due diligence to try to come up with options. He felt they should put something = out to the voters and be happy with it, rather than continuing to come back with revisions. He said there was = still a contractor (David Mendes) interested in the project.

APPOINTMENTS

Deb Waters= and the Forestry Committee – Gumpas Pond Conservation Area /= Discussion: Partnership with Partners for Fish & Wildlife

Forestry Committ= ee Member Deb Waters came forward and introduced Ted Kendziora of US Fish & Wildlife Service, Mike Powers of Baystate Forestry Services, Paul Gagnon Conservation Commission Chair/Forestry Committee Member, Forestry Committee Members Gayle P= louffe and Bob Lamoureux, and Chris McCarron Conservation Commission. She stated that they would be presenting a habitat restoration proje= ct and early successional forest habitat project on the Gumpas Pond Conservati= on Area.

Mr. Gagnon said = they had a reasonable amount of success protecting open space and once they do they = try to look at the open space collectively between the Conservation Commission = and the Forestry Committee to manage it. When reviewing properties it’s done with four main objectives: wood, water, wildlife and recreation. With this project they were trying to create early succession habita= t, which didn’t exist very much in the state. They contacted Mr. Kendziora of th= e Fish & Wildlife, who had a program to help communities establish early succession habitat. Various T= own parcels were reviewed; the Gumpas Pond Conservation area was chosen. Mr. Gagnon reviewed a map and show= ed the location of the area that contained approximately twenty acres.

Mr. Kendziora ex= plained what the Partners for Fish and Wildlife organization did. He said they helped produce on the ground work for habitat restoration. He was brought on board in August to create early successional fores= t habitat in the New England area because a lot of= the habitat diversity was being broken up by mature forests, wetlands and development. For the past sev= eral months the organization had met with the Town’s Forestry Committee to review Town parcels. They loo= ked at Gumpas Pond as being one of the more likely places to create early successi= onal habitat because of the location of the landscape and setting. Baystate Forestry reviewed it from= the forestry aspect and agreed it would be a good place to cut because of its decreased timber value. A sit= e walk was conducted to determine what timber work could be done. Mr. Kendziora said the goal was to create habitat and they would work hard to get it done. He stated that a land owner agreem= ent was drafted; it was a boiler plate stating the services along with an estim= ated budget. The preliminary asses= sment outlines the potential work that is being proposed; once they come up with = an idea, the landowner agreement is signed.&n= bsp; Then between Fish and Wildlife, WMI Forestry Commission and other pe= ople associated with Pelham and Baystate Forestry they would work on a plan to accomplish the goals of creating early successional habitat. Mr. Kendziora provided an overview= of the proposed project, for which he would be the Project Manager along with Baystate Forestry. He noted t= hat if approved, the proposed project would be the first project for early successional forest habitat management in New Hampshire.

Mr. Lynde asked = if there was any cost to the Town. Ms. Waters said there was cost, but the items that would be done, would have be= en done anyway; the main cost was to restore the sand pit which has already be= en done. She said they had also already expanded the woods road that would allow trucks to access deeper in= to the Gumpas Pond Conservation area. <= /span>Mr. Gagnon noted that they had collected more from the harvesting of Gumpas Pon= d in 2006 than had been spent.

Mr. Lynde unders= tood that Mr. Powers had done a similar project in Dover, NH and asked for further information about it. Mr. Powers discussed the Dover, = NH project, which was a multi-stage project, and what it involved.

Mr. McDevitt que= stioned if the Town would incur any obligations to the Federal Government as a resu= lt of entertaining entering into an agreement. If so, what are the obligations. In Ms. Waters’ view, the obligations were not high. Sh= e said they were obligated to do the work in preparation for Mr. Kendziora’s work, which had already been undertaken and to mow the field habitat once a year after it was established. Other than those items, she didn’t see any other large obligations. She said the only downside was the area would essentially be rendered a place that they would= not be harvesting. Mr. McDevitt believed the project was a great idea, but worried that there may be some unknown obligation they found out when looking back five years from now. He commented that at present, the = Town could post a sign indicating the area was for Pelham residents only. He questioned if the Town could li= mit the area to Pelham residents only after accepting Federal help. Ms. Waters didn’t believe th= at the proposed project was obligating the Town to do anything differently on the property that they wouldn’t normally do.

Mr. Lynde asked = if the group envisioned creating a trail system.&= nbsp; Ms. Waters’ felt it would be important to have a trail system through the area once the habitat was established because it would be a uni= que area. She believed there was already an established trail through the area that they would keep open.

Mr. Viger questi= oned if/how hunting and fishing would be restricted in areas such as the proposed. Ms. Waters said they discussed the topic, and there would be no restriction on hunting.

Mr. Haverty want= ed to know when the Town would get the agreement and who would sign it. Mr. Kendziora said the agreement h= ad been forwarded and could be provided via e-mail to the Selectmen. He said they were ready to sign; a= s for the Town, the signature would be whoever had the legal right to sign. He noted that the agreement was fo= r a period of ten years but the Town could get out of it whenever they wanted.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> He anticipated doing some work this coming fall/early winter as well as during the following fall. He said they would hopefully set u= p a contract with a company to control invasive species. During the eighth to tenth y= ear the Town will decide if they wanted to keep the area in an early succession= al forest. Mr. Haverty commented= that the Selectmen could possibly delegate signing the agreement to the Town Administrator.

Mr. Gleason unde= rstood that preparation work needed to be done.&n= bsp; He questioned if the funding would come from monies allocated each year. Ms. Waters stated that = the money would come from their annual budget.= It had already been spent and the bill was already paid. There would be some small incident= al items to take care of, but the main bulk of the work needed in preparation = for the project had been done and paid. Mr. Gleason asked if mowing the area would be done by conservation, = or if the Town was expected to do so. <= /span>Ms. Waters said they usually mowed their staging areas and this parcel would be wrapped up into their annual job. Mr. Gagnon clarified which area would be mowed. Mr. Gleason was apprehensive about= the Federal money and if it came with any restrictions on utilization of the land. He wanted it verified t= hat the Town would retain the right to restrict the property in consideration of the fact that they were receiving Federal Funds. He commented that the agreement sh= ould be reviewed by legal being that it was a ten-year commitment. Mr. Kendziora said they had done t= his type of project throughout the country on private land owner property, whic= h is how the agreement was written up (in legislation). He said it wasn’t the typical Federal dollars match. To his= knowledge there wouldn’t be anything restricting the property. He said he would research the question. Mr. Gleason said th= e next order of business was to get the agreement to the Selectmen.

Mr. Gaydos said = an agenda item could be scheduled for two weeks (June 21^st).

Mr. Gleason than= ked everyone for all the work and effort put forth for the Town.

Fire Chief= James Midgley – various topics:

Fire Chief James= Midgley came forward to discuss items with the Selectmen.

Defibrillator Donation- Chief Midgley stated that the Pelham Fire Association was awa= re that the Town Hall didn’t have an AED, which was of concern. They would like to donate, for installation at the Town Hall, an AED and cabinet to store/house the unit.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Chief Midgley said in addition to installing the unit, they would like to hook it up to the alarm system.

Mr. Viger asked = for the value of the unit. Chief Midg= ley stated that the unit retailed for approximately $1900, but being a municipa= lity purchasing through the fire department, the cost was $1200. The cabinet retails for approximat= ely $350 was purchased for $200. =

Mr. Gleason ques= tioned if training was required to use the unit.&= nbsp; Chief Midgley explained that the unit verbally tells a person how to= use it. However, the manufacturer= will send someone to train people and the Fire Department can train Town staff t= o be familiar with the unit. Chief Midgley believed the best location for the unit was in the Town Hall lobby.= Mr. Haverty asked if the unit was generally intended for use by those who had received training. Chief Midgley said anyone with/wit= hout training could use the device. He said they couldn’t do any harm because the machine does everything internally; if applied to someone with a cardiac rhythm that it shouldnR= 17;t work on, the unit wouldn’t work.&nbs= p; Mr. Haverty asked how many places in Town had AED units. Chief Midgley informed there was n= ew statewide legislation enacted approximately eight months ago that requires = all AED units to be registered with the state and the E911 system. Mr. Haverty questioned if the trai= ning session could be videotaped and replayed on PTV for the public. Chief Midgley answered yes; the tr= aining information would be useful. = He noted that the fire department would conduct training.

Mr. Gleason aske= d if there was money in the budget to cover the installation and operation of the unit. He asked what the estim= ated cost would be for the installation. Mr. Gaydos said it was relatively minor. Chief Midgley noted there wa= s a system in the Town Hall (other than the GSM) which could be tripped by an emergency button. He said the= box could be tied into that system which would go directly to dispatch. He commented if the box was opened= there was an audible alarm; this was also a theft deterrent. The estimated installation cost wo= uld be $200.

The Selectmen di= scussed whether to have a public hearing. It was decided to have the unit installed and then hold a public hea= ring June 21, 2011.

Cistern Maint= enance – Chief Midgley said over the last year issues have developed with cisterns, such as maintenance. He has now developed a cistern maintenance guideline and summarized the work t= hat would be done. He said they h= ave looked at incorporating cistern maintenance into the Emergency Management budget as a line item. Chief Midgley stated there were roughly seventy-four cisterns in Town; some of wh= ich are starting to fail. He said= there was no line item to take care of the cisterns. They contacted one of the cistern manufacturers and were referred back to J.R. Gauthier from Town who is one = of the repair companies that takes care of cisterns. They discussed the different metho= ds of sealing up some of the cisterns. He said the cisterns were important to the Town and needed to be maintained. He felt incorporating a line item = for repair in the Emergency Management budget was how repairs could be funded.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'>

Mr. Viger asked = if when the Planning Board approves cisterns they come with a scheduled maintenance plan. Chief Midgley replied b= efore any building material can arrive on site, a cistern had to be installed and operational. At that point th= ere is a lag time to completion and until the development is complete. That easement is then turned over = to the Town with the cistern once it is tested.&n= bsp; However, once the warranty for the cistern is passed, it falls back = to the Town, not the developer. = Mr. Viger asked how the cistern integrity and inspections were handled. Chief Midgley stated that his depa= rtment handled that aspect. He expla= ined how the seasonal inspections were handled.= Mr. Viger asked if regular cistern maintenance would fall in the Fire Department budget or the Emergency Management budget. Chief Midgley stated regular maint= enance would be incorporated in the general budget; if there were significant cost= s, such as for snow removal, that would not be easily absorbed and would need = to come from Emergency Management.

Mr. Lynde questi= oned if there were different quality cisterns.&nbs= p; He wanted to know if some were better than others. If this was the case, he wanted to= know if a longer warranty could be requested through the Planning Department. Chief Midgley said the warranties = were through the manufacturer. He = said they were researching to see if there were better products. Mr. Lynde asked if there was a pro= per inspection system in place for when the cisterns were installed. Chief Midgley stated they had a ve= ry in depth inspection system and summarized the process. Mr. Lynde asked if the bigger expe= nse was winter access. Chief Midg= ley answered yes, if the winter was similar to this last season.

Mr. McDevitt ask= ed if local residents were encouraged to clear out their own cistern. Chief Midgley said there were a fe= w that cleared out their cisterns and there were a few that bury their cisterns. The Police Department has gone out= and informed people that snow could not be pushed across the road. Mr. McDevitt questioned if the Tow= n was sufficiently protected by local laws/ordinances to make sure that people don’t do such actions again. Chief Midgley said he tries to stress to people that keeping cisterns clear is for the people’s protection. He believed they were protected an= d the Police could take appropriate actions.&nbs= p;

GSM – (= Cellular Phone System Infrastructure)- Chief Midgley explained that GSM was the cellular infrastructure that the Town currently used. They had been looking at ways to incorporate a better alarm system to the Town buildings that would be less costly long-term. GSM was recommended. Chief Midgley sa= id it was similar to a radio box. H= e said the GSM work off of the cellular system and instead of having dual phone li= nes going to a specific location, they could use the GSM. He noted that the GSM checked that= it was operational every sixty seconds; if it doesn’t get an operational signal it trips off a trouble alarm and someone could be sent to review it. Another plus for using a = GSM was that it was tied into cellular. He noted that the GSM could do alarms for fire, burglar, panic and a number of other things that a regular system couldn’t do. He felt it was something the Town = should consider as a potential to move towards in the future.

Mr. Gaydos said = because of the problems with PVMP, the switch had already been made over there. He discussed the capabilities of t= he GSM. Mr. Haverty confirmed th= at GSM was the network; the communication network that the communication happens on. It wasn’t GSM that informed where in a building a fire is located, that would be an alarm service. Chief Midgley explai= ned that the GSM system integrated as the communications portion to the system = that the Town already has. He said= zones could be added to the system to do different things. He said the alarm system would con= nect in to the GSM. The GSM portion would respond quicker and have more reliability. Mr. Haverty questioned it was fair= to say that they were upgrading the communication infrastructure to be able to support enhanced monitoring systems and functionality. Chief Midgley answered in the affirmative. Mr. Haverty aske= d if it was the Chief’s plan to use the communication network as well as monitoring equipment. Chief M= idgley felt the best step would be to move towards the GSM system, and get the sys= tem up and reliable and eliminate the phone line issues. He said the next step would be to = move toward smart systems throughout the Town buildings. Mr. Gaydos discussed the benefits = of having the GSM at PVMP.

Mr. Gleason ques= tioned if GSM had the susceptibility to signal problems that a typical cell phone = had. Chief Midgley stated once a signal= was established in an area they would always have it, unless towers started to = go down. Mr. Gleason asked if th= ey were susceptible to weather variations.&nb= sp; Chief Midgley said they typically weren’t; they were more susc= eptible with phone lines dropping.

Mr. Haverty want= ed to know how concerns were answered if the system were to be deployed at places such as Raymond Park where people had difficulty making a phone call (using= a mobile phone). Chief Midgley replied that in those areas GSM would most likely not work; Raymond Park wa= s an area he lost signals. He said= it was a site that they would probably have to wait for the cell companies to improve.

Mr. Gleason summ= arized advantages as being reduction in cost (from landlines) and improved service (reliability)= .

Mr. McDevitt said cellular based services tended to get overwhelmed in times of emergencies.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> He questioned if in those times of emergency if the service would degrade enough to wipe out the advantages. Chief Midgley said it was a good question; he was aware that certain signals could override other signals.

Mr. Gleason aske= d if the intent was to put the GSM in the budget.&n= bsp; Mr. Gaydos said they wanted to see how the system did in the summer = at PVMP. The (start up) cost wou= ld be approximately $1050 per building, which would be offset by the saving of the telephone (land lines).

Continue Disc= ussion on Fire Station – Mr. Gleason stated that the Selectmen had a bri= ef discussion at their last meeting at which time they indicated they would li= ke to dedicate more time to the discussion.&n= bsp; He said the objective was to find out what they had to do to proceed= and how they wanted to proceed with time being of the essence. Mr. Gaydos said at the last meetin= g they had discussed the requirements; the Fire Chief indicated he had gotten the building down to the requirements needed.&= nbsp; He said there was also discussion about the insulated concrete and a suggestion by Mr. Soucy if a steel frame building was used it had the poten= tial of being less expensive. This raised the question if the building would be able to withstand high winds a= nd snow loads; in the conversation Mr. Soucy stated he believed it could. He said Mr. Soucy had done researc= h and come back with pricing for the steel frame. He wanted the Selectmen to underst= and the buildings would be visually identical; the difference would be in the materials used in construction. He said they had spoken about obtaining a cost for the insulated concrete buil= ding as well as a cost for the steel frame building completed. They could review the buildings an= d see if they would perform to the standard set up by the Fire Chief. Mr. Gaydos said he would like to d= iscuss cost later, and at this time speak about the structural differences of the = two buildings.

Mr. Roland Soucy= stated that he took the drawings of the floor plan and rendering to an engineer at Chief Building Company (a company he was currently doing buildings with). They were able to take the drawing= s and come up with a budget number of what it would cost to do a steel structure. Mr. Soucy said he = put together additional costs such as slab, foundation and erection. He reiterated that the end result building would look identical to what was in the drawing, the only differen= ce would be that the structural components would be steel and not concrete (ICF system). He felt there was en= ormous savings using a structural steel building versus using the ICF system building. Mr. Soucy said the estimated cost for the components he was describing was $370,000 to supply a steel structure, roofing panels for both flat roofs. He couldn’t see coming close= to this figure using the ICF system, which was labor intensive and contained a= lot of concrete and a lot of rebar. He noted they could accomplish all the insulation factors using the steel building.

Mr. Gaydos said = they were looking at ‘beefing’ up the building to meet the standard = they had set. He said they now had= to figure out what the other costs would be because interior walls would be ne= eded in the office space, HVAC, electrical etc. Mr. Gleason felt it was importan= t to note that Mr. Soucy’s proposal was the primary structure of the build= ing. Mr. Soucy said the price provided = all the frame work, all the structural items for the roof and the administrative building; it provided all the structural components for everything. Mr. Gleason asked Mr. Soucy to con= firm if it was his opinion that the steel structure was more economical than the= ICF system. Mr. Soucy said it was= .

Mr. Haverty unde= rstood that (with the steel structure) they would still need to apply exterior and interior walls. Mr. Soucy sai= d the administrative part of the building would need to be finished just as it wo= uld with the ICF system. But in t= he apparatus bay, the steel would be the finished product. Mr. Soucy reviewed a rendering of = the building and pointed out the areas that would be finished off and the areas that would remain steel structure. <= /span>He said the steel building was designed to meet today’s code – wind speed 100mph and ground snow load of 55lbs per square foot. He reiterated t= hat the hard cost number was approximately $370,000; if a builder was doing it = they would add approximately 15% ($55,000).&nbs= p; The cost of $425,000 would be for the entire frame of the building, = the foundation, the slabs poured in both structures and a finished roof over the portion of the building that houses the trucks. There would be additional costs to finish the administrative offices, external siding, garage doors, mechanical heating, air conditioning, electrical etc.

Mr. Viger questi= oned how the steel building would be as an emergency response location. Chief Midgley said he would like t= o see an ‘apples to apples’ comparison of buildings. He said they started off with a wo= od building and went to concrete; he didn’t want to see the building drop back. He noted that the reaso= n they were able to get their economies down in size was because they had very significant insulation factors; the mechanicals shrunk down when going from= a wood structure to a concrete structure.&nb= sp; He wanted to make sure what they had for a building and decided to go with for structural stability and longevity would be what they transitioned= to if they went to steel. Mr. So= ucy said the insulation factors could be reached using any kind of building. In regard as loading (wind and sno= w), a lot of the buildings that collapsed were very old buildings. He believed if they were reviewed = a lot of retrofitting (without engineering) would be found that destroyed the integrity of the building. He= noted that the proposed steel building was designed for a fifty-five pound (per square foot) snow load, and could be increased to be as high as they wanted. This was also true fo= r the wind loading.

Mr. Haverty comm= ented over the last several years, the Selectmen heard from several different companies (i.e. Trident,Eckman) and didn’t recall anyone recommending= a steel structure building. He = asked if Mr. Soucy had an opinion as to why.&nbs= p; Mr. Soucy said a lot of architects work on a percentage of costs, so= it was in their best interest to design a $5million building instead of a $3million building. Over the = years he had found that a lot of buildings were overly designed. He said there were plenty of munic= ipal buildings built out of steel.

Mr. Lynde stated= that they needed the ‘apples to apples’ comparison. He said they should start from the footprint and determine the comparable performance of the ICF building. He said the loading information of= the ICF was needed to begin with. Mr. Soucy said without having the documents indicating what the building would = on the outside and the inside it was difficult to have an ‘apples to app= les’ comparison. Mr. Gaydos said h= e put a call to Trident to see how long it would take for them to put in the miss= ing pieces so a comparison could be made. With this comparison, the differences could be reviewed, afterward t= he price difference could be reviewed so a decision could be made. Mr. Lynde said a proposal was put = before the voters based on the ICF; that design had a certain criteria/specificati= on that is the benchmark. Mr. Ga= ydos said the estimators worked with the structural engineer and could get the n= umber. He said they could get the informa= tion and apply those same numbers to see what the prices are.

There was further discussion regarding obtaining a breakdown of the ICF building so it could = be used to compare against the steel structure building.

Mr. Gleason said= the main question was if the steel structure offered a significant cost reducti= on without jeopardizing the integrity of the current design. He wanted to know how much of a sa= vings it represented. Mr. Soucy bel= ieved both buildings would perform just as well.= He said he was familiar with the ICF system and had done a handful of buildings that way, but he needed the information/numbers from the previous= fire station building so a comparison could be accurately done. Mr. Gaydos said his plan was to ge= t all the information to Mr. Soucy so he could get the prices that they were look= ing for. He said then the estimat= or could review the additional components and provide information of what they would cost to finish; at which point Mr. Soucy could have an ‘apples = to apples’ comparison. The Selectmen asked that the information for the current design be given to Mr. Soucy. Mr. Soucy said he had information for the snow load, wind load and R value he could take the (ste= el structure) design further and get a more realistic estimate. Mr. Gleason said the fire station building was proposed at $3.7 million, predicated on specific design criteria. He said that inform= ation should be given to Mr. Soucy and anyone else who needed it so they could re= view the assumptions that were used. Mr. Gaydos said he wasn’t sure what details they had, but could get those details and provide Mr. Soucy with the three answers.

The Selectmen we= re anxious to have the information provided as soon as possible because they f= elt they were running out of time to put things together. Until there is solid information, = the process couldn’t move forward. Mr. Soucy stated that the number from the steel company was a ‘= ;hard’ number they provided in a quote. The difficulty was that the Selectmen didn’t know how those numbers compa= red to the previous building design.

Mr. McDevitt sai= d it would be helpful to see a simple chart breaking down the components for a s= teel building and a separate for the building that had been proposed. Each line could then be compared a= gainst each other. He understood tha= t type of information may not be free, and didn’t mind paying for it as long= as the information was accurate and provided quickly. He said they needed to have a spec= ific number. Mr. Gaydos said he as= ked Trident to work with the estimators that worked on the previous building and believed he would have an answer very quickly. Mr. Soucy believed it would be eas= y to put a square foot price on the administrative portion of the building. Mr. Gaydos said he intended to get= the three answers to Mr. Soucy tomorrow.

Mr. Gleason aske= d if the Selectmen needed to authorize the expenditure of money for the information = to be reviewed/compared. Mr. Gay= dos said Trident would also need to speak with the estimators. Mr. Soucy said if the estimate was= going to be worked with, he should have a conversation with Trident. He commented if he was given the a= nswer to the loading and R value question he would convey it to the steel structu= re company and update the estimate.

A special meeting will be convened= on June 28, 2011 t= o make a decision. After Mr. Gaydos has contacted Trident to brief them on what was being requested he will have th= em contact Mr. Soucy to have a discussion

regarding the st= eel structure building.

Mr. Gleason aske= d for the Chief’s opinion regarding the proposed steel structure building.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Chief Midgley said he had discussi= ons with Mr. Gaydos. He said his conce= rn was that they didn’t start to sacrifice structural integrity, functionali= ty and longevity for the sake of a dollar.&nb= sp; He said the Town did that type of thing all the time where they cut costs and then pay on the backside. He was dealing with that type of situation now with his apparatus. He wanted to make sure they didn&#= 8217;t do it with the building. Mr. Gleason believed the intention was to have the Chief involved in the proces= s so he could have the confidence he needed at the time a decision was made. Mr. Gaydos understood that the Chief’s standards had to be maintained.

Action Ite= m Review

The Selectmen re= viewed the action items and updated them as appropriate. Items that were completed we= re deleted.

Mr. McDevitt inf= ormed that the Planning Board Chairman put the CIP ‘on the shelf’ for= the time being. Mr. Haverty comme= nted that the CIP was mandated by the Planning Board and only needed one member = from the Planning Board, Selectmen, Budget Committee, School Board and members of the public. Mr. Gleason felt = it was important for the Budget Committee to adhere to an approved CIP. He believe= d he received a consensus opinion from them that they agree. He asked that Planning reconsider.= Mr. McDevitt said he would go back= to Planning.

Mr. Gaydos infor= med that the septic design cost for the fi= re station would be $12,000. The action item was then deleted.

Mr. Gaydos noted that he had not definitively identified where the To= wn Charter was located. He was s= ure that a telephone call to Mr. Hayes would provide the answer.

TOWN ADMIN= ISTRATOR / SELECTMEN REPORTS

The Selectmen didn’t have reports.

Mr. Gleason said= the Selectmen recognized the appropriate parties involved with the Memorial Day parade and activities.

Mr. Gaydos noted= that the mosquito monitoring people were putting out traps for mosquitoes. He said this was the time they sta= rted trapping them and checking for diseased insects.
