Senior Center Expansion ProgramAPPROVED BY VOTERS - April 2010 FOR: 2587 AGAINST: 2098 Below is the Warrant Article that appeared on the March 2010 ballot. Note the burden for the taxpayer is $139,000. The Senior Center Building Fund will contribute $40,000 as well as the withdrawal of $100,000 from the Senior Center Building Capital Reserve Fund to equal the total requested amount of $279,000. The Expansion Program includes adding a large multi purpose room, septic system, and bathrooms. BOS Recommended Warrant for Senior Center To raise and appropriate $279,000 to add an extension to the existing Senior Center building to accommodate increasing membership and expanding recreation, dietary and health needs and authorize the withdrawal of $100,000 from the Senior Center Building Capital Reserve Fund. The Council on Aging will contribute $40,000 from the Senior Center Building Fund; the balance of $139,000 is to come from general taxation. (Recommended by the BOS 5 to 0) (Recommended by the Budget Committee)
