Marriage License or Civil Union License:

           To obtain a Marriage License or Civil Union license:

           Both the  bride & groom or both parties of the civil union need to come to the Town Clerks office together.

           You need to come to the office at least 45 minutes prior to closing. 

           There isn’t a waiting period

           The license is valid for 90 days from the day you apply

           The license is only valid in New Hampshire

           The state of New Hampshire does not require a blood test

            Documents Needed:

            Proof of age/picture ID

            A certified copy of the death certificate of a former spouse if the applicant is widowed

            A certified copy of the divorce/dissolution decree : and or

            A certified copy of an annulment if the applicant’s previous marriage was annulled

           Fees:

           The cost of  a marriage license or civil union  is $50.00. 

           The cost of the certified copy of the marriage license or civil union  is $15.00

           Only Cash or Checks are accepted

To obtain any of the following certified records via mail:

            Complete the form pertaining to the specific record: ie: birth, marriage or death or divorce:

            A copy of a picture ID must accompany your request

            A self addressed stamped envelope

            A check or money order made out to:  The Town of Pelham

            Birth Records:

                 To obtain a Copy of a Birth Record:

Birth records are available to immediate family members

A picture ID must be presented at the time of the request.

You must complete a request form. (See link below)

You may obtain certified copies for any births that occurred in Pelham, and also for births that occurred in the State of N.H. after 1988.

                       The Fee: $15.00 for the First Copy/Search

                                     $10.00 for additional copy  issued at the same time for the same record

                     city or town in the State of NH after 1990
