Marriage Licenses

To obtain a Marriage License

• Marriage Licenses are by appointment only. 
• Both Parties need to come to the Town Clerks office together.
• You must bring the Marriage application worksheet with you unsigned.
• The license is only valid in New Hampshire
• The license is valid for 90 days from the day you apply

Documents Needed

•  A Certified birth certificate,long form (pocket cards NOT accepted) (a Passport does ot take place of a birth certificate)
• A certified copy of the death certificate of a former spouse if the applicant is widowed
• A certified copy of the divorce/dissolution decree 
• If documents are not in English, they must be translated into English and notarized.

Fees  

• The cost of a marriage license or civil union  is $50.00. 
• The cost of certified copy of the marriage license is $15.00 for the 1st copy and $10.00 for each additional
• Cash, Check or Credit Card is accepted (2.79 Percent fee with credit card)
