Overview

On April 18, 2023, the Board of Selectmen unanimously voted (5-0-0) to form the Pelham Community Power Committee. The objective of this committee was to work on the possible benefits of an electric aggregation program for all Town citizens, per RSA: 53-E:6. This board was comprised of five members and two alternates, all with staggered terms.

On March 12, 2024, Article 9 was passed by the citizens of Pelham, which allowed the adoption of the Pelham Community Power Electric Aggregation Plan, authorizing the Board of Selectmen to develop and implement Pelham Community Power as described therein (pursuant to RSA 53-E:7). This program will provide a new default electric supply and new supply options for customers in Pelham. There is no cost to the Town budget, and no obligation to participate. Customers can opt out at any time and return to the utility default service.
