Cardboard Sled Fest 2025

Don't miss the change to Join Sled Fest 2025!! This is a FREE COMMUNITY EVENT SPONSORED BY THE TOWN OF PELHAM BOARD OF SELECTMAN. Design and build your own cardboard sled capable of withstanding a downhill slide. Gather your crews, build your best cardboard sled and come down for some fun and a friendly race.  We will be using the hill at Veterans Memorial Park that goes from the summer camp lodge down to the beach

• When:  January 25 (snow dependent)
• Where:  Veterans Memorial Park, 109 Veterans Memorial Parkway Pelham, 
• Time: 11AM
• Ages:  Open to all ages and residents and non-residents
• Construction:
  • All sleds will be inspected before they are allowed to compete
  • You may only use cardboard, duct tape and glue
  • You are allowed to decorate your sled with paint, fabric, etc. These items can only be used for decorative purposes.
  • Sleds must be free of sharp edges, pointy objects or any other features that are deemed dangerous
• Rules
  • All racers must wear a helmet-Bike Helmet or Ski Helmet
  • all Sleds must pass safety inspection before they will be allowed to race
  • Pre-registration on the Parks and Recreation website is required. One registration per team or individual
  • Single sledder or up to 10pp on one sled 
• Prizes
  • Fastest Sled
  • Most creative
  • Best themed Costumed.
    Deadline to register is January 16, 2026. We will update all who have registered if we have to move the event due to little or no snowfall. Come be part of the fun! We can't wait to see your creativity on the Hill!!!!
