PRESS RELEASE

Pelham Man Arrested for Threatening Officers and Family with Knife

On March 29, 2017, at approximately 2:23 pm, officers of the Pelham Police Department responded to a residence on Burns Rd. for an intoxicated male subject who was threatening family members with a knife. This location was less than a quarter mile from Pelham High School as students were actively being dismissed.

Upon arriving at the home, officers encountered Christopher Lanzillo age 34 located in the street only wearing pants, yielding a knife. Lanzillo was in fact highly intoxicated, extremely agitated and was failing to comply with officers commands. After negotiating with Lanzillo, he ultimately discarded the knife and began to follow officers directions. Lanzillo was placed under arrest at that time and transported to the Pelham Police Department for processing. While at the police department, Lanzillo continued to make threats and was subsequently transported to Southern New Hampshire Hospital to be evaluated.

Lanzillo is currently being charged with Felony Criminal Threatening, Criminal Mischief, and Simple Assault. Bail is undetermined at this time.

The incident remains actively under investigation.
