Voter's Guide Explanation

The Board of Selectmen and the Professional Fire Fighters of Pelham reached an agreement where education, training, and spiraling health insurance costs were addressed. Incentives are given for firefighters to complete Paramedic training and continue employment with the town. A lower cost, managed care program was selected by the Fire Fighters that reduces health insurance costs to the community without reducing the quality of medical care the employees receive.
