Pelham Town Ceremonies and Parade

(All US flags to be flown at half-mast from midnight till noon on Memorial Day.)

8:00 AM VFW members meet at VFW Post to carpool to drive to Veterans Park.

8:30 AM VFW members Depart VFW post for Veterans Park.

9 AM: VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK Full Ceremony, Color Guard, Rifle Squad Salute & Bugler

Immediately following Veterans Park ceremony: Police escort to Daniel Gionet Bridge on Main St.

9:45 AM: Gionet Bridge Wreath Laying Ceremony & Riffle Squad Salute.

(In the event of inclement weather, if the PHS Band cannot march, ONLY the parade portion will be canceled, all other events will take place)

Disband and head to the KIA Bench Memorial at the Town Hall Entrance for a brief wreath laying ceremony, acknowledge the POW Table Memorial inside the building, and then proceed to the Village Green for parade lineup

People unable to march should get into the cars in St Pat's parking lot across from the VFW Post. Cars that wish to provide rides in the parade with people should be in St Pat's parking lot by 9:30 AM. Members riding in cars should meet there after the Gionet Bridge ceremony. Cars then drive to Village Green for the KIA bench Ceremony and then line up for the parade.

10:15 AM: Town Hall KIA Memorial Bench-Wreath Laying only, Color Guard, Chaplain Prayer

10:15 to 10:30 AM Town Parade muster up on the Village Green. Parade organizers will have the line ups of the different groups and organizations. The VFW Color Guard will lead, followed by the American Legion Rifle Squad. Line up starts at the far exit of the Village Green Road past the Fire Station at the Marsh Rd exit.

10:30 AM: step off Town Parade to march to Gibson Cemetery, line up in a large circle on the grass around the center flagpole. Parade cars to follow the Police Patrol Escort Car

11:00 AM: Gibson Cemetery Full Memorial Day Ceremony, Color Guard, Rifle Squad Salute & Bugler Parade continues with march to:

11:45: Old Village Square Monument momentary stop for wreath laying ceremony only

American Legion Post 100 for flagpole wreath laying and Town Cookout
