Voter's Guide Explanation

The Board of Selectmen and the Professional Fire Fighters of Pelham reached an agreement where education, training and spiraling health insurance costs were addressed.  Incentives are given for Fire Fighters to complete Paramedic training and continue employment with the town.  A lower cost, managed care program was selected by the Fire Fighters that reduce health insurance costs to the community without reducing the quality of medical care the employees receive.
